Rajasthan

The desert kingdom, the land of kings, and India’s largest state according to size. Home to glittering cities, formidable forts, and princely palaces it is the top of many a traveller’s list when coming to India, and for good reason. Whether the intricate craftsmanship of Jaipur and Jodhpur, or coming face-to-face with the elusive tiger (Ranthambore, Keoladeo Ghana, and Sariska National Parks are located within its boundaries); the romance of Udaipur or the golden city of Jaisalmer, there are a bounty of ways to explore this desert state. As one might expect, Rajasthan is scorching in summer, with temperatures soaring into the 50°Cs, so look to visit in the cooler months of October to March.
